The main objective of this enterprise development and support programme is to provide training and support for small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) in the tourism sector, specifically tour operator development in order to improve their sustainability.
The Department has appointed Sigma International to establish, implement and facilitate the National Tourism Tour Operator Incubator Programme. The scope of support extends to 44 tourism enterprises (travel and tour enterprises specifically) to be supported over a 24-month period. The successful beneficiaries were selected by a panel of experts from both Sigma International and The Department of Tourism (DT).
